The Leader of the Islamic Revolution says the resistance of Hamas fighters in Gaza is taking away the Israeli army's self-confidence.

In a message to Hamas leader Ismail Haniya on Friday, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said Israeli troops have been pushed to the outskirts of Gaza City due to the bravery of resistance fighters in the Strip.

Earlier in the day, Israeli troops retreated from the city after facing strong resistance from Palestinian fighters for two consecutive days.

"The (Israeli) army that occupied massive portions of three Arab states in a six-day war is now humiliated by the resistance of your fighters," said the Leader in his letter to the Hamas chief.

Ayatollah Khamenei added that Gazan resistance had brought shame to the supporters of the Israeli regime in the United States, in the United Nations, and among Arab leaders.

The Leader added that Iran would continue its support for the Palestinian people, who are suffering in the Israeli aggression against Gaza.

Iran recently dispatched a ship carrying 2,000 tons of medical and food supplies for the people of the impoverished coastal sliver.

The ship, however, was intercepted by the Israeli navy. It now awaits permission to offload the humanitarian aid in a Gaza port.

Tel Aviv launched Operation Cast Lead on December 27 to put an end to rocket attacks against southern Israeli towns. At least 1,133 Palestinians have died during the offensive, while some 5,150 others have been wounded.

Hamas, the democratically-elected ruler of the coastal sliver, demands a cessation of an 18-month Israeli blockade on the Gaza Strip before its fighters suspend rocket attacks.

The huge number of civilian casualties in the densely-populated coastal strip has sparked widespread outrage around the globe.

A fierce controversy has also broken out over the alleged use of white phosphorus, also known by the military as WP or Willie Pete, by the Israeli army in Gaza

The International Criminal Court prosecutor, meanwhile, said Wednesday that it lacks jurisdiction to investigate war crimes allegations against Israel.

In its biggest act of violence against Gaza in 60 years, Zionist Regime F16 bombers and Apache helicopters pounded one of the most populated areas on earth on December 28, 2008. The carnage has resulted in the death of hundreds of unarmed civilians and has injured thousands more which still continues.

The area with around 1.5 million inhabitants has been turned into the world’s largest prison after Zionist Regime imposed total economic blockade on Gaza in July of 2007. The  siege on the people in dire need of food and drugs is against all morality and all major international laws and regulations inter alia covenant of civil and political rights and covenant of Economic, Social and Cultural rights .The barbaric behavior of Zionist Regime is clear violation of all international Human rights norms.

We hold Zionist Regime directly accountable for the pain and agony   inflicted on the defenseless people of Gaza and call for an immediate end to the collective punishment and disproportionate use of force in the slither.

We urge the leaders of the Arab states of the region to denounce the bloodshed and pledge concrete and practical efforts to combat terrorism of the Zionist Regime in the starving, sick and injured people in the territory.

As Zionist Regime’s main patron and purveyor of military aid for nearly 60 years, US and EU officials bear the entire and ultimate responsibility for the violence and instability in the region. In the beginning of the year 2009, people from all over the word were falling in joyance and happiness. The word entered to the ninth year of third millennium while the gorgeous advances of human in different fields of technology, industry and economic have been encountered by global financial and economical crisis. This massive crisis results in dismissing employees and thus impoverishing families and parents. Sadly enough that so many pauperized parents were too impoverish to buy Christmas gifts for their families. This shows that global crisis influences gradually from financial markets, banks and big companies to families and routine life. A world whose most critical crises were environment, poverty and water shortage, nowadays is suffering from financial crisis. But there is a quiet crisis which affected the world and considering it might be preventive from other crises entangling. Moral Crisis is forgotten by humanity who missed consciences. Today the dignity of the rich and politicians as well as people ignorance substitute for morals and values. Besides, humanity is exponentially moving towards never land.  Nowadays on the one hand mass Medias which are most dependent to tycoons and Zionist try to diminish moral and humanity and to show facts conversely. On the other hand they advertise what is their favorite and strengthen their power to dominate the world. Needless to say that keeping people on ambiguity and negligence is the precondition of their governing on the world. Moral absence and lack of conscientious are significant factors leading hundreds of people to poverty and illiteracy. Moreover millions of people are suffering from shortage in welfare equipments. Nowadays due to not considering the moral, a number of people, who are defending their occupied land against merciful invaders, are entitled terrorist and killed. In addition the human conscientious is unaware and unconsidered about this obvious injustice.

May be you heard the name of Gaza. It is a land which is located at the heart of Middle East. It is a part of Palestine situated in the Western side of Mediterranean Sea. Nowadays moral is hanging in this area. After months of food and medicine sanctions by Zionist, this area is bombarded by missiles and air forces of Israel.  But what is their guilty? In spite of the fact that they are defending Hamas which is their elected government they are deserved to be attracted by Israel. Does defending an elected government is guilty? Does protecting a nation making sacrifices for their land is terrorism? Just imagine a part of Paris be occupied by invaders who obliged people to leave their home. It is a remind question whether Paris citizens are not allowed to defend their houses, lands and families? On the other hand would not France government be allowed to protect its people against invaders?

However it seems that what occurring in Palestine and Ghaze is bombarding humanity and moral values. It could be said that global silence in this regard points out two significant facts: Firstly, the global society is incapable, timid and frustrated to defend fact and moral values. Secondly, this silence indicates that moral values in worldwide are dead and human have to ready for their funeral. As far as I concerned, there are some free people in the world who would break this silence and yell freedom, honor and human munificence while would try to defend distress people because the future belongs to values and truth.
